Questions about this service

What is dotwork shading and why is it used?

Dotwork uses individual ink points instead of smooth washes. Think of newspaper printing, where tiny spaced dots trick your eye into seeing a smooth shadow while causing less skin irritation.

Will solid black areas peel heavily?

Yes, solid fills shed like sunburn flakes around day four or five, which is completely normal.

Can I moisturize the fresh blackwork right away?

We recommend leaving the barrier film on for the first few days, then applying a fragrance-free lotion in thin layers.

How an appointment unfolds

  1. 1

    Tracing the outer boundaries

We trace the main structural outlines first to lock the visual silhouette into your skin.

  2. 2

    Building tonal values

We work from dark fills into delicate dotwork, diluting the ink with sterile witch hazel for softer greys.

  3. 3

    Cooling and cleaning the skin

We wipe the area with chilled distilled witch hazel to ease skin heat before applying the barrier bandage.

Stories from our Zaragoza clients

★★★★★
Clean studio on Calle San Miguel. Mateo unwrapped the needles right in front of me, and paying cash on site was very straightforward.

Booked for my forearm piece. The design adjustment took twenty minutes longer than planned, but the fixed quote was kept exactly as agreed and the protective film stayed intact on the walk home.

Came back for my second piece this year because the lines healed sharp without any rough spots. The studio is quiet, and I paid the final balance by bank transfer before leaving.
